Weeknight Meal #2: Crockpot Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches

My husband LOVES Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches. Like possibly more than he loves me. Okay, that's over exaggerating a little, but we always have to try out a restaurant if they are rumored to have a good Philly. Combined with my love for easy meals and crock pot recipes, this recipe was sure to be a winner for the two of us. It definitely didn't disappoint!

SLOW COOKER PHILLY CHEESESTEAK SANDWICHES
Recipe makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs beef round steak
1 green pepper, thinly sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 can beef broth
1 pkg Italian seasoning mix
4 hoagie buns
Provolone cheese slices

Directions:

1. Spray crock pot with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Cut meat into strips and place in crock pot.
3. Add green pepper, onion, broth, and Italian seasoning packet to slow cooker.
4. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours (or high for 3-4 hours).
5. Toast bread in a 375 degree oven for 5-10 minutes.
6. Spoon meat mixture onto toasted bread.
7. Cover with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese.

Hope you love it as much as we do! :)
