One of my favorite looks for fall is a denim chambray shirt, skinny jeans or leggings, cute infinity scarf, open sweater, and boots. It's just a classy and fun look while also being incredibly comfortable. To make it even cuter (and warmer), add a pair of cute boot socks, and you've got an outfit made up of adorable individual pieces that can work with so many others.

But who wants to spend the money on boot socks that are only going to be wearable for a couple months out of the year? In early fall or late spring, it's already too warm to wear them. But if you could make them yourself out of material you already have at home? It's a win, win!
DIY Boot Socks
All you need is an old sweater or two and scissors!
1. Lay the sweater down on a surface with the arms spread out on either sides.

2. Measure the height to which you want the boot socks to reach on your legs.
3. Measure the amount of fabric you need to cut off from each arm based on the length you want the socks to be.
That's it! Easy as pie and cute, too! Plus, if you're like me, there's a box waiting to go to Goodwill that will have quite a few of these to make several different colors!
